Joe took Paige for a haircut Monday. After her haircut the stylist French braided her hair on two sides. I decided to leave it overnight and in the morning Mona took the braids out and she had a big fro!! It was so cute!!
Holidays are getting so fun as the kids get older. Paige had to decorate a box for school so Mona helped (or did it)! I'm sure it was THE cutest box at school! Totally not biased. Paige even brought her extra valentines to her gymnastics glass and handed them out.
Abo and LeLa got Paige a shower kit since the big girl has graduated to the shower. Mason got an Elmo guitar...that we have conveniently left at their house!

Spirit Week
It was spirit week at Paige's school. Can you tell what the themes were? It was royalty day aka Princess. Mismatch day. Decades day, she joes bomber jacket that he wore when he was her age! Not sure who had more fun Paige or Mona for dressing her up?!?!

Hard life
We seem to be having some battles in the Merino household lately. One is the nap...we don't really fight it, but she often falls asleep in the car on the way home (ok ALL the time). This particular day, she got out of the carseat and came right in and fell asleep on the floor! Rough life, huh?
Little miss has also decided that she doesn't want to clean up. So, I was on my 4th night of working and Joe got so frustrated with her he took her entire desk out of her room! From the beginning we explained to her that she Santa got her the desk because he knew she was big enough to keep her things nice and clean. Well, apparently "Santa" was wrong!! We have been battling her to clean up her messes for weeks now and it just reached a breaking point. So we plan on giving it back, but with limited amount of supplies. Hopefully this will 1) keep her from making such a huge mess and 2) it won't be so overwhelming for her to clean up. Fingers crossed.
And then there's fuss butt Mason. Poor guy is teething like crazy so I'm sure that's why...but DANG!!! The constant fussing brings us back to a bad time when we were dealing with Paige and her colic...UGH not good memories. So hopefully, like everything else, this too shall pass!

Monster Man
Mason is becoming quite the little terror around the house. Still not walking and only 2 teeth with 1 popping through...but he can make quite the mess.
Two of a Kind
I know I've said it before, but the connection between these two melts my heart. I love how excited they get when the are around each other. Paige has become quite the helper too. I can hear her when they are playing downstairs saying, "Good job buddy! You can do it" now I have no idea what he is doing so it could be something bad, but for now I'm going to take it! Mason has figured out the routine. In the mornings, he will crawl in the bathroom and get Paige's toothbrush for her. Then when it's time to pick Paige up from school and he sees Mona getting her coat, he starts getting really excited. Love that!
