Issues
It appears as though I'm having some technical difficulties and the pictures are not showing up. I'm working on fixing the problem. Sorry!
Hairy Sucker
It's hit and miss if Mason will cooperate when we get his haircut. This time we decided to give him Paige's blowpop to keep him occupied. Needless to say, he was a MESS!!! There was a puddle of his saliva on the floor where he was standing. Not to mention the carseat...gross! BUT BUT BUT...we were successful in getting is haircut so despite the mess, I call it a success!!
Confidence??
Pretty sure Paige has heard that she is cute a time or two?! Apparently, after getting ready for school she looks in the mirror and says, "Yep, I look good!" HAHA!!! I think we may to explain a few things to her at some point...soon! :)
Adventures
Going out to eat is um, quite the adventure lately. And that's putting it very nicely. Mason is seriously ALL.OVER.THE.PLACE! We have to sit in a booth so we can barricade him in. The majority of the meal is spent with Mason sitting, kneeling, laying down, crawling under the table, hitting the windows or whatever is there and our favorite part is kicking up...NON STOP. Needless to say this "adventure" doesn't happen often.

when you have a big sister! Poor Mason!! I have a feeling it's only going to get worse. What's funny is, he didn't seem to mind at all. He was cracking up! I should have known they were up to something when they were quiet for so long!

OCD
I will have you know that Paige took it upon herself to clean her room. I hear her in there and can tell she's in her drawers. Of course, I think she's probably making more of a mess than cleaning, but I look in there and she was organizing her shoes!!! Apparently, Joe and I's OCD has totally rubbed off on her. I'm sure her Aunt Rene is shaking her head at us!! We really don't make her put her shoes in order...she did it herself!!! HAHA!
Monkey see, monkey do
This is what happens to my living room in a matter of 2.2 seconds when we get home from work. Paige doesn't quite grasp that Mason does EVERYTHING she does the minute after she does it. So when she is practicing her flips she learns in cheerleading, Mason follows right behind her. This kid is gonna land us in the ER one day, I'm sure of it!
Crazy Climber
This is a whole new experience for us. Paige was never a climber, but Mr. Mason on the other hand is testing every limit possible. He will not sit still and much climb up anything and everything. Guess this is life with a boy huh?
5 times the fun!
So apparently Joe and I are AWESOME friends!! HAHA! We volunteered to watch the triplets so our friend Carol could watch Craig race a triathlon. So for several hours we had FIVE, yes FIVE children at our house!! It wasn't that bad at all. Now if I had to that every single day, I may pull out my hair, but for the time we had them it was great! Paige was in heaven! She told Mona the next day that she had FOUR kids to be the boss of!! HAHA!!

I WIN!!!!
This is Paige's "I WIN" face!!! She beat Mona in Hi Ho Cherry O several times and was apparently very proud of herself!
Strong little man
Check out muscle man Mason!! He was actually pushing big cousin Sylvia for a while and loving every minute! Mason's newest "trick" is moving the chair at Mona's so he can swing while holding on the table. Or at our house he will push our kitchen chairs everywhere to lock and unlock the door, turn the light on and off or attempt to get ice and water from the refrigerator. We can't take our eyes off him for one second.
Swim, Bike, Run
This past weekend I completed my third sprint triathlon!! Go me!!!! This year was pretty flipping hard!! However, I was able to shave off one minute from my previous year. So not too shabby!! When we got home our babysitter had the kids make signs for me and they were waiting for me at the top of the stairs! It was just too cute. We seriously have THE best sitter ever!!!

Check out Big Girl Paige!! She is still loving cheerleading and I couldn't be more proud. Joe on the other hand get super, SUUUUUPER nervous when they throw her up in stunts!! I almost had to hold him back from going to be a spotter!! HAHA
Big and Small
Off to the right of the picture you can see half of the kids swingset...now you can look at what they are actually playing on! Why in the world do they insist on playing on the tiniest play toy instead of the huge swingset we purchased?? I will never understand kids!!
Pizza Mat
Mona is the best! She brings out a blanket and lets the kids eat pizza on the "pizza mat" while watching a movie! They love it!! Poor Mr. Mason is shirtless because he got stung by a bee earlier in the day. He was ok, but did scream for a bit!
Chillaxin'
The first picture of Mason cracks me up!! Paige is cheesin and Mason is just all laid back!! HAHA!!
The next few pics are in St. Louis. We went to visit my mom in St. Louis and she bought the kids a small pool. Too bad they were more interested in the swing and water fountain instead! It went surprisingly well though! BOTH kids even slept until 8:30am. That's truly a record in the Merino Household! Now if we could only recreate that here somehow!

Musical Chairs
Mason has decided to play musical chairs at EVERY SINGLE MEAL! We first try the high chair (that is now pushed up to the table)...NO GO. Next is the little table...NO GO. Then I try putting him at the big table right next to Paige...NOPE! Typically, we resort to run by feedings. We keep his plate at the table and he runs around and up to us like a bird and opens his mouth. Someone tell me this stage is over soon!?!?!
Double Trouble
Mason has now learned to push a chair up to the counter and climb on up! We are IN trouble for sure!!! Paige never climbed on anything....Mason is a totally different story!
Silly girl
Amazingly enough this was HER idea!!! She handed me the phone and said, "Take pics of my funny faces!!" Crazy girl!!
Sweet moments
I went in for the bedtime story routine and saw this. Thankfully she kept the pose long enough for me to snap a pic. Then just like that...moment over!!!

Cheer claps and cartwheels!
We enrolled Paige on a competitive cheer squad...and she absolutely loves it!!!! She is CONSTANTLY practicing cartwheels, cheer claps and her "libs"!!! I may be out of my prime, but I do remember a thing or two from my cheer days!! It's fun to watch her be so excited about something. I can NOT wait for her first competition!!
Scary Water
So after taking the kids to the indoor pool and seeing Mason's fear we decided we needed to get him in the water as much as possible. He looks happy here...but looks can be deceiving! Paige got a sprinkler for her birthday so they took it to Mona's. Mason won't even get near it!! So, we bit the bullet and enrolled him in swim lessons. Lord help us!!!
Driving Ms. Daisy
This picture cracks me up at how serious Paige looks! Mona says she's actually quite the little driver!!
Birthday Big Girl
It's crazy to think that our baby girl is already 4 years old!!!! She has grown so much in this past year and is growing up to be quite the little sweatheart! She has the sweetest soul that is always wanting to help others and be the teacher! She had such a blast at her party. This year we decided to have it at Mercury Gymnastics. I highly recommend it to anyone having a kids party! They do all the clean up and it wears the kids out!! Paige has this face she makes when she's intrigued where she raises one eyebrow. It's the cutest. Well, that's the face we got when we showed her the picture of her brand new big girl Hello Kitty bike that was waiting at home for her!!! She was super excited!! Overall, awesome time had by all!
