School Bus Dreams

All summer Paige has had her BFF (aka cousin) Sylvia to play with along with her other cousin Cameron.  Sylvia started school this past week and Cameron will start half days of pre-school next week.  Poor Paige doesn't know what is going on!  Everytime she sees the school bus go by she says she wants to get on it!  I guess they visited Cameron's school today and when they came home she just wanted to wear her backpack because she was "going to school too"!  She just wants to do everything those big kids do!!

Splish Splash in St. Louis

We had a weekend getaway in St. Louis this weekend.  We figured we weren't sure when we would be able to get back to see my family so we better go now!!  Travelling with a two year old is...um, interesting!!  I couldn't imagine being strapped to a chair for 4 hours.  But overall, she did great.  We had a nice BBQ Saturday and Paige got to play in the sprinkler and small pool with my cousin.  She had so much fun!!

Mexican Mullet

Not sure what was going on with Paige's hair today, but WOW!!!  I knew she needed a haircut but this was taking it to a whole other level!!  No matter what we did it still stuck out like crazy in the back.  Joe said it looked like a Mexican mullet...not exactly sure what that is, but I thought it was funny.  I also can NOT believe I got her to stand still to take this pic!  Don't worry...Tia Rene cut about 2 inches off her hair the other day so it looks super cute now!!

Run Fast!!

Joe competed in his second duathlon over the weekend and did an awesome job!!  For those that don't know what a duathlon is, it's basically a triathlon without the swimming!  So you run, bike, run.  We were explaining to Paige that daddy was going to race and all she got was that he was going to run fast!  So Saturday after dinner she wanted to go outside to "run fast" so we let her.  She was running up and down the sidewalk out front and of course, tripped and fell scrapping her knee.  No big deal right??? WRONG...little Miss Drama Queen has been limping around like Tiny Tim!!  This was after she was running, skipping and jumping on the very same leg!  I have no idea where she got this drama from..... :)

Because everyone needs to eat...

Lately, Paige has been putting her baby dolls and now, baby Elmo in her shopping cart, stroller and now her high chair!  I love watching her pretend play.  She even wraps her baby dolls in a "Tita" aka blankie. 

THREE BABIES!!!

Many of you know that our best friends Craig and Carol had triplets!  Well,  yesterday was the first day they were all home from the hospital!!  All are doing amazing!!  Let the fun begin!

We decorated the front of their house.  Joe said he definitely got some looks when he asked for two "It's a boy" balloons and one "It's a girl" balloon!! 

Paige couldn't wait to see all these babies.  She just stood there at first in amazement I believe!!  Then she started to get brave and wanted to touch them and pat their heads.  It was so cute!!

Here is momma Carol (doesn't she look awesome!) holding Ben, dadda Craig holding Max and Kendall is in the pack-n-play.  Craig asked Paige who was her favorite and she immediately said, "Kendall!"  LOL!!!

Clean Freak

Speaking of cleaning...if she even sees the broom she grabs it and tries to "help" us clean up!  Turns out to be a bit more of a pain than help, but it makes her feel good!  So we ended up buying a new refrigerator so all of our food was in coolers while the new refrigerator cooled off.  I was taking a break and sat on the cooler so Paige had to do the same thing, of course!!  She's such a ham!!

Cheeseburger in Paradise

Monday after work we rushed out to Nebraska Furniture Mart to shop for a new refrigerator, so afterwards we decided to stop by Cheeseburger in Paradise!  As soon as we got there, she ran straight to these chairs, like she has been there a million times before? 

Also, she is really in to cleaning...everything!  She doesn't like her hands to be dirty and is constantly asking for napkins.  After dinner, Paige likes to take her wipes and clean the table, the seat and anything else she can!!  She is her father's daughter!!!

Cyclist in training

Check out our big girl!!!  She said to LeLa (Grandma) today, "I want to ride my bike with my helmet on!!!"  I still get so amazed when I hear her speak in complete sentences!  Joe is so proud she is wearing a helmet.

Dress up Daddy

Now that Paige has a new big girl dresser, she can reach her drawers - to include all of her hair things.  I don't know how many times we have had to pick up each and every one of her rubber bands out of the carpet.  Fun!!  Yesterday, she decided that daddy needed to wear a pink bow headband!!  Doesn't he look so cute?!?!

And sorry this is so blurry...not sure what is wrong with my camera lately.  UGH

Hair

Paige now thinks she can fix everyone's hair.  Maybe she's going to be a hairdresser when she grows up??  Everytime I have my hair in a ponytail she says, "I wanna fix your hair!"  If I'm laying down, I MUST sit up so she can fix it.  Recently, she's even started asking for a brush.  And says she NEEDS a brush!  The other day she said she was going to fix daddy's hair.  She looked at it, rubbed her hands on it one time and said, "No, mommy's hair!!"  Guess he wasn't much fun!!

Wizard of Oz

We are in the process of re-decorating Paige's big girl room so we had to get her a new dirty clothes hamper.  Apparently, Paige thought it was a tunnel or some sort of toy and cried like crazy when we had to take it away.  This picture reminds me of the Wizard of Oz.  All she's missing is some ruby slippers!!

Butter Wars

Paige wanted toast tonight with dinner.  So we made some toast and put butter on it.  Well, of course, after a while the butter melted into the bread.  Evidently this confused Paige because we looked at her and she was flipping the bread over and over again saying "Butter???  Butter???"  She was thoroughly confused that she could no longer see (and lick) the butter on the toast!  I tried to get an action shot of her looking at the bread, but my little ham just had to cheese it up for another picture!

I'm a mess

Check out her hair!!!  Typically we have to do her hair several times in a day because it always gets messed up.  Paige got up from her nap and was just running around the house.  Then she disappeared and came back carrying her comb and hair things in her hand.  She was saying "I'm a mess!"  with her nose all turned up!!  We were cracking up, but had to agree!!!  Then I tried to fix her hair for and she only wanna daddy to fix it.

Pete and Repeat

Miss Paige must love to hear herself talk!  I swear if this girl says something one time she says it a million and one times!!!  O....M....G!!!!!!!!!!  She does love to talk and is really in to asking a ton of questions, which I know is good and is payback since I'm sure my mom has the same stories about me!  But still...WOW!!!  She will ask "What's this?"  or "What happened" even if she already knows the answer!  Today she was asking for logurt (aka Yogurt) from the time she woke up until this afternoon when she finally had it for a snack! 

Our friend Craig loves to teach Paige new things.  Last time it was "show me your muscles" so she makes a muscle with her arm, but then has to see every one's muscles!!  Last night he taught her to say, "I'm adorable!'  So he would say, "I'm adorable" and Paige would say, "No, I'm adorable!" and this went on and on all night!!!  Too bad...he's right!  She's is pretty darn adorable!
