Techy

I swear this girl is gonna know more about technology than Joe and I put together by the time she's 5!  She loves playing with our phones and has now learned that we can download games on our phones for her to play.  This came in handy during potty training!!  Yesterday, she told Joe that she wanted him to download another game...what 2 year old knows what the heck download even means??

On top of playing games on the phones, she is obsessed with looking at pictures of the triplets.  She will always hand me my phone and say, "I want to see babies".

Weeds

Joe and Paige were out for a stroll when she stopped all of a sudden and picked up a "flower" and said, "This for mommy" and picked another "this for daddy" and turned to go back to her bike.  Then stopped and picked one more and said, "and this for Paige!"  She's too cute!

Cheeseball

Isn't she the cutest!!  Anyway, Paige had her first photo shoot today!  She will be in a calendar of all police officer's kids to benefit our CARE team.  She looked adorable and did an awesome job.  I can't wait to see the pics!!

I wanna help!!

We are getting closer to finishing the baby's room (FINALLY) but Paige thinks she needs to help with anything and everything!  Joe was trying to finish edging and closed the door.  She just stood outside the door insisting that he needed her help!!  We finally allowed her to "help"!  Stay tuned for further pictures of the finished room...

Little Miss, "I do it myself!"

Seriously, we leave her alone for like 1 minute and come to find her ON TOP of the dresser!  She was attempting to put in her Elmo DVD herself!!  Good times!

Paige is OBSESSED with doing everyone's hair.  Not sure if this means she's going to be a hairstylist or not, but I told her if she was she needs to go to Hollywood to do celebrities hair!!  If you sit down at her level, she automatically thinks you are sitting down so she can do your hair.  She will say, "I fix mommy's hair pretty, Pllllleeeease!!" or insert whoever's name there!!  She even tries to do Joe's hair.  We were shocked when she got the barrette's to stay!

Go Daddy GO!!!

Paige and I cheered Joe on this past Saturday as he ran his first ever 15k race!!  The finish line was one of the coolest.  You finished in the Livestrong soccer stadium with people in the stands cheering.  It was so fun!!  We are so proud of Joe.  The time on the clock isn't Joe's accurate time.  He finished 9.3 miles in 1 hour 13 minutes!!  He rocked it!!!

My babIES!!!

I think this is one of the best pictures I have been able to capture!  I have quickly become more and more uncomfortable with this pregnancy, so you will often find me, at home, with my belly hanging out!  Paige loves "talking" to him through the magic window a.k.a belly button.  She will say, "Hi!  I'm your big sister!"  It's the cutest thing ever.  She looks so precious in this picture.

Yesterday, I was laying on the floor to stretch out my back and she still thinks she needs to climb on top of me.  Unfortunately, she pushed right on my belly and it didn't feel great so I yelled out.  Paige immediately ran over to Joe, grabbed his hand and pulled him over to me and said, "Daddy, come here.  Mason is hurting mommy!"  HAHA!!!

Healthy Habits

As any parent of a 2 year old knows, they ask a million questions.  Paige is always asking us what we are eating or drinking.  So she has quickly learned what a protein shake is.  Since then we have been telling her that protein helps make big muscles.  She knows how to "make a muscle".  So yesterday Joe was drinking his shake and she grabbed it and said "protein...MUSCLES" and made a muscle!!  I love that our healthy habits are rubbing off on her!

Self Expression

Paige was in our room supposedly watching Elmo.  She comes running out of our room wearing one of Joe's black socks and one of my tennis shoes!!  We asked her if we could snap a pic and this is the smile she gave!  I think this could easily be a picture of her cousin Sylvia at that age.  Love it!

Sweetness

Paige has never been a "cuddly" type child so when the rare occasion happens I take full advantage!  She was being so lovely and giving me big squeezies!!  Those are the moments it made all that horrific colic worth it!!  At least that's what we keep telling ourselves as the newest arrival quickly approaches!! :)

Building a fort

She is Joe's child!!  After dinner she loves to watch Elmo while we clean up the kitchen.  That is, IF she eats well!!  Well, tonight, she decided I guess she wanted to build herself a fort!  She pulled each and every cushion off the couch.  You could hear her grunting and grumbling as if she was working super hard!  Then I look down and she's standing on the couch attempting to jump into the pile of cushions she has created!  Saying, "I was higher!!"  That seems like it's a trip to the emergency room waiting to happen!!

Zoo

Joe and I got a little bit spoiled these past two weekends. We actually had two whole days off together as a family!!!  That seriously NEVER happens!!  So to celebrate we took Paige to the zoo with her friend Travis!  It turned out to be an awesome day, even though only half of the zoo was actually open.  Paige seemed to really enjoy running around and looking at all the animals.  She was funny though, when we saw the monkeys I was pointing them out she kept saying, "Where?" even though they were literally right in front of her!!  Overall, it was a great time for all!!

I see you!!!

We are still full on potty training in our household and we accidentally left a roll of toilet paper out by her potty chair.  BIG MISTAKE!  We didn't hear her for a bit (which should have been our first clue) and then she comes running out of the bathroom saying, "I see you mommy!  I see you daddy!"  We look over and she's looking through the empty toilet paper roll at us!!  So I first, grab the camera and go to the bathroom knowing exactly what I'm going to find!  Luckily, the roll was almost empty!!  Gotta love it!

Potty and Prizes

Well, it has been potty training bootcamp at our house this weekend!!  Much to our surprise she has done AMAZING!!!  This was only after 2 days and look at all those stickers!  We stuck to our word and took her to Chuckee Cheese for her BIG REWARD!  We were a bit nervous taking her out for the first time without a diaper, but we knew it had to be done sometime.  We had one minor pooping accident but otherwise she did awesome.  It's the cutest, most sweetest thing ever when she pees and gets this HUGE smile on her face and says "I DID IT!" and claps!!  I love it!

Playing games with daddy.

This picture cracks me up.  It's like "Yes, mom what do you want?  I'm in the middle of playing my game!!"

and PS sorry I've been slacking on the pictures, but I'm fighting a terrible sinus infection.

When mom's away....

I must start this blog by saying Joe is really an amazing dad...and does pay much attention to Paige.  It just seems that IF something is going to happen it's gonna be when I'm gone and he's watching her!  With that said...it has happened once again!!!

I go to Yoga on Tuesday afternoons for a nice relaxing time...then I come home to Joe saying, "Well, we've had a few incidents since you left."  The last time I left Paige got in to my prenatal vitamins which resulted in a call to poison control.  Happy to report, this time didn't result in any calls to poison control!!  This time however, she decided to get into the Vasoline container and proceed to cover her entire face AND hair!!!  So now we have a greasy mess of a ton of hair!!!  Even after several washes, it's still greasy.
