Merry Christmas!!!

Check out our big girl!!!  Some days I look at her and just can not believe how old she looks!!

And here our two kiddos!!  It's still weird to say kids!!

Paige still doesn't like Santa (or Ho Ho as she calls him), but she was happy to recieve all kinds of gifts from him.  At one point, she even said "Ho Ho is nice, but I still don't like him!"  HAHA!  Her big gift from mom and dad was tickets to see Sesame Street Live.  I don't think she really understood what they were, but she will be so excited for a day full of JUST PAIGE!  We can't wait to take her!

I had to add this picture.  For those of you that know her cousin Sylvia, she looks EXACTLY like her in this picture!  It's a bit scary!!

Her biggest gift from Abo and LeLa was a vanity set that she can play with her makeup.  She loves it and is already spending a ton of time "getting ready".  She's too cute!!

Gingerbread land

My mother in law just amazes me!!  She was brave enough to have all three grandkids make an entire gingerbread land!!  Each had their own house and decorated how they wanted!  I have no idea how she has the patience to work with all those small pieces and not lose her mind!  It turned out so cute!!

IT'S SNOWING!  IT'S SNOWING!!!!

That's all we heard for about 5 minutes, and that was all the snow we got.  Last year, she wasn't a fan of the snow, but so far (from inside anyway) she loved it!  We shall see!

It's official...

 

Bordem has struck!! Poor Paige is getting so bored with us staying at home so much with Mason.  Today, during a feeding, we realized we hadn't heard her in a while when all of a sudden she comes running out of my room wearing my heels!  Then she runs into the kitchen to clomp around in the heels.  At least she was staying out of trouble!!

Where's Mason????

When Paige would hear the garage door, she used to run to it and say, "Daddy's home!!!" now she says, "Where's Mason?"  When she wakes up in the morning, her first question is, "Where's Mason?" or "What is Mason doing?"  I gotta admit it's pretty cute!

 In this picture, she had just got up from a nap and had to go find Mason!  She was standing at the door making faces at him while he slept in his crib!

"Can I hold him?" I think we hear that more than "WHY???"  Her attention span doesn't last that long, but it's fun while it lasts.  I had to capture her little curled up toes while she held him!  I thought it was just so cute!!

When my mom is in town, Paige is like her shadow.  She follows her everywhere and copies everything she does - to include putting on lipstick!!  For some reason, she is obsessed with my mom's reading glasses and always wants to put them on.  This morning she took them and immediately placed them folded up on her shirt - just as my mom does!!!  She's too much sometimes!  

The day her whole world changed!

Paige's life (and ours too) has now changed forever!  I'm sure you all know by now, but Mason Joseph Merino made his arrival into this world on December 2, 2011 at exactly 8pm weighing 7lbs 2oz and 20 inches long!  I was scheduled to have a c section on Monday, December 5th, but instead, my water broke after I came home from work on Friday, Dec 2nd.  As I stood in the bathroom debating if my water actually did indeed break, Paige stood there totally confused!  Joe ran around getting stuff together for her to spend the night with Abo and LeLa, while I called my doctor.  Poor girl was totally confused, but all she knew was she was spending the night with Abo and LeLa and she was so excited!!  The next day, my mom brought Paige up to see us and meet her little brother for the first time.  I think she was a bit in shock at first since everyone was taking pictures and making a big deal of it.  Since then though, she just loves him!  She wants to kiss him ALL.THE.TIME and get in his face, but I would rather that than have her hate him!!  We shall see how long it lasts!
